Creek Week 2026: Cardinal Valley + Living Soil at Ragtag Cinema

Presented with Boone County Stormwater Management as part of Creek Week, this free event will screen the short film Cardinal Valley: A Restoration Story and feature film Living Soil, followed by a panel discussion exploring the topics within the film. Cardinal Valley is a short documentary that follows the beautiful transformation of land in Webb City, Missouri through a municipal compost program. Living Soil is a moving portrayal of farmers, scientists, and policymakers all across the U.S. who are taking steps to improve the resiliency of our food system through agricultural practices that support long-term soil health. Cardinal Valley: A Restoration Story trailer here. Please note that FREE tickets for the public will be available at the Ragtag Box Office starting Monday, June 22 at 12PM. No more than two free tickets will be given to one person. A free ticket guarantees you a seat until 10 minutes before showtime and not after. If all tickets have been distributed and there are open seats at 10 till, we will start seating the theater from the waiting list (queue). Ticket holders will continue to be admitted at this time if seats are available. This policy allows us to start on time and give the audience a distraction-free experience.
