Big and Beautiful Container Gardens

Planning for what goes into Mizzou Botanic Garden's spectacular container plantings — with their never-the-same annual designs — is done by Jenna Sommer, Landscape Services Assistant Director of Horticulture. Sommer will lead two walking tours — take your pick! — of this year's offerings and discuss what she takes into consideration when deciding what to plant as well as sharing information about her favorites from past years. • Two sessions: Thursday, August 13 at 6 p.m. or Thursday, August 20 at 6 p.m. • Meet at steps on the south side of Jesse Hall • Limit 20 per session — Registration required. Registrants: Please let us know if you are unable to attend so that someone on the waiting list can. Free parking after 6pm on weekdays in many permit lots and in the Hitt Street and Turner Avenue Garages.
